Received these two Jaleco PCBs over the weekend. Both were actually developed by the team that would later form NMK, and their difficulty prove it, especially Saint Dragon!

Saint Dragon cow boss . . . a Deathsmiles inspiration?
ReplyDeleteQuite possible. I'm pretty sure the tree boss in deathsmiles is also inspired by a much older shmup...but can't remember which.
ReplyDeletePretty much everything in Deathsmiles was taken from Cotton - take a look and you'll see a TON of similarities. Especially those flying eye enemies.
